Gallery in motion

It's been a day of pairs. Four to be exact. If I knew anything about poker, I might have said that was a good hand, but clearly it isn't, and I don't.

The two new acquisitions, (atop) have been placed in the hallway as you enter the sitting/dining room. Two other pairs of architectural prints, and a pair of ink drawings now line the corridor leading to the bedrooms, the larger of which has further architectural prints. They are all (11 of them) framed in the same antiqued silver finish, to give them uniformity, despite the variance in image, and size.

Any future picture buying will certainly have to cease. There seriously isn't anymore wall space. But I suppose they could be stored...oops.

This post which is really interesting made me go back through your other posts looking for more pictures of your place. I found them and I want to say what strikes me the most is the rigorous elegance of it all. I find it beautiful and I can perfectly appreciate why you continue to refine it. Silver is much under appreciated as framing.

P-D - of course - when I've built on the guest wing! I need to update my camera. Some previous shots were taken by a professional photographer, (or by me with his camera), so there was better lighting etc.

Blue - how very kind! I love the expression "rigorous elegance", and it pinpoints the attention to detail that we both appreciate, and which to me is a requisite of interior design. Refining design is also innate to me, and another element of being a designer. Everything is "a work in progress".

Pat's Addition - me too! They are growing on me more and more each day, and I shall enjoy returing to see them after my trip.
