The latest copy of Sotheby's Asia catalogue dropped through my mailbox over the weekend. In their upcoming Spring sale in Hong Kong this stunning emerald-cut blue diamond with a whopping 8 carats is for sale with an estimate of USD14m. But lest you find you cannot russle up the necessary for that, you could always opt for something more fluid and less painful on the wallet.
Victoria Falls, (1975) by Wu Guangzhong is estimated at a very affordable USD 3.3m. I'm only glad that I don't have to trouble myself with these hard decisions, but I shall be concentrating instead on something in between ice and water in the next week or so, in the shadow of Mount Yotei.
